Fran didn’t want to fall in love with Rick. It wasn’t on the list of things she had to do that week.

Yet, there she was, Friday morning, in bed and staring at the ceiling and thinking about the way he’d kissed her. She closed her eyes. Why? After all this time, why now? Why him? Was it because he was the only person who knew she was a murderer and didn’t flinch? There was something liberating in being in the arms of someone who knew her that well.

Grizzly’s Bar & Grill closed its heavy wooden doors to the general public. Paint-chipped shutters discouraged uninvited guests. A large sign read 'Private Party.' Only locals were permitted inside—blue collar workers, cowboys, regulars. Rick Brandt was one of them."

I'm a fan of the classics: Mike Hammer, Ellery Queen, Sherlock Holmes.

I'm just a bit grittier.

My Characters

My characters are damaged, politically incorrect,  well-intentioned and  misguided.

They swear, have sex, and shoot people. They love passionately, are loyal to the end, and struggle through lost loves, haunting memories, and decades of guilt and anger. And those are the good guys!
